Life Church seeks to do whatever it takes to reach more people far from God throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region.
No Reserves, No Retreats, No Regrets!

We believe that people FAR from God MATTER to God.
Because of this core conviction, we want to Reach the Lost at Any Cost!

To reach the people nobody else is reaching, we will do the things nobody else is doing.
We are willing to do anything short of sin to reach people far from God!

We want to shatter people’s stereotypes of what the church can be by teaching the Bible and making Jesus famous through modern methods.

We see ourselves as missionaries to our region (we are inspired by giants of history like St. Patrick, William Borden, and Billy Graham). Our tools are leveraging laughs, modern worship, and high-energy fun in our kids’ environments.

God is the Creator and Ruler of everything. He has eternally existed in three persons: Father, Son, and Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

Gen 1:1, 26-27; 3:22; Ps 90:2; Matt 28:19, 1 Pet 1:2; 2 Cor 13:14

Jesus is the Son of God, co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect substitutionary sacrifice for all people, dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended into heaven’s glory and will return again someday to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Isa 9:6; Matt 1:22-23; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Heb 4:14-15; 1 Cor 15; Rom 1, Acts 1:9-11; 1 Tim 6:14-15; Titus 2:13

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives within every Christian from the moment of salvation, providing the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As followers of Christ, we live under the Spirit’s daily control.

2 Cor 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor 2:12, 3:16; Eph 1:13; Gal 5:25

The Bible is God’s Word to us. Written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, it is the supreme source of truth. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth for living without any mixture of error.

2 Tim 1:13, 3:16; 2 Pet 1:20-21; Ps 119:105, 160, 12:6; Prov 30:5

People are made in the image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme objects of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience and rebellion called “sin.” Sin separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

Gen 1:27; Ps 8:3-6; Isa 53:6, 59:1-2; Rom 3:23

God loves us so much that He has a plan for rescuing us from ourselves. Salvation is God’s free gift to all who receive it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved and spared from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn toward Jesus in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into their life by faith. Because God gives us eternal life through Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you did not earn your salvation, you cannot “un-earn” it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God alone.

Rom 5:1, 6:23; Eph 2:8-9; John 1:12, 10:29, 14:6; Titus 3:5, Gal 3:26; 2 Tim 1:12; Heb 7:25, 10:10-14; 1 Pet 1:3-5

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through His forgiveness and salvation offered in Christ. Heaven and hell are real, conscious places of eternal existence.

Matt 18:8, 25:44-46; John 3:16; Rom 6:23; 1 John 2:25, 5:11-13; Rev 20:15

The local church is a movement, a body of believers organized to celebrate, connect, and contribute. The two ordinances of the church are baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. The local church is an independent and self-governing body responsible to Christ alone who is its Savior and Lord.

Matt 16:18, 26:26-28; 28:19; Rom 6:3-4; 1 Cor 11:23-26
